SUPPLEMENTARY FEED

New Zealand Livestock Services sells large quantities of high quality lucerne based feed on behalf of a number of South Island producers. The establishment and maintenance of pasture is strictly managed and monitored by an expert team of agronomists and soil scientists to ensure that NZLS supplements are of top quality.

NZLS sells the majority of its feed as standing pasture, allowing the purchaser to manage the harvest process and timing to suit their requirements. Due to the large volume of supplements sold each year, NZLS contracts significant portions of its sales in advance and tends to trade with large purchasers of supplements, however we also generally retain a percentage of supplements each year for sale on the spot market.

In addition to sales of standing pasture, NZLS also cuts and bales large quantities of feed for sale as hay, baleage or silage. Again we sell the majority of our feed in advance although a proportion is also typically retained for sale on the spot market.

As NZLS portfolio continues to expand, we are always looking to build relationships with parties wanting to purchase supplementary feed, particularly larger organisations wanting to secure supplies of pasture well in advance.
